Douglas, that's one of the things on my list, but it's lower priority and I won't have time to do it before we get basic PnP working. I do take pull requests, though.
Greg, it is best to install them on the bottom side.. sorry for the inconsistent pictures, some of them came from other users or older machines. I'll make a note to get this sorted out...
Reef, per my email on the dev list, M80/81 are not backwards (although if an older firmware version is loaded, it will appear this way). Mostly replying here for others that might have the same issue... best action to take is to do a git pull using the specified Marlin fork and branch, to main/latest, and try the commissioning steps again.. that should fix the M80/81 problem.
Hi Peter, I double-checked this in the EAGLE files, and the CPOL-RADIAL-10UF-25V package I used from the Sparkfun library uses '+' for pin 1 (square pad), and '-' for pin 2 (round pad). Seems a bit odd and counter-intuitive, but either way I think I installed it correctly. In hindsight, the Sparkfun libraries REALLY suck and I won't use them from now until the end of history. Their rotation on all their parts are incorrect, which makes it tricky to deal with OpenPnP and other PnP machines.

Fixed!
(Dozuki doesn't like short comments apparently, this should make it long enough)
I updated this step, I think it's much clearer now. Thanks for the comment!
I'll go ahead and add this now, thanks for pointing this out.

Thanks Charles. I'll get the split lock washers into the guide.
Agreed, I'll put a note in gh-issues for this.. thanks for the suggestion.
They're overhang supports, they're present in the STL file, and must be removed before/during assembly. I'll try to get the instructions updated.
